So for a few days it looked like Garth would be okay in time, he started getting some tingles back in the right side, and just yesterday was able to move the toes, the swelling of his brain was going down, he was able to talk slowly and coherently.
Today he's developed another blood clot in the brain, and because the brain is still so swollen they can't go in to get rid of it, and the doctor says it's a 50/50 chance right now. Best case scenario is either the clot goes away, or the clot doesn't do any damage and holds off until the swelling goes down enough that they can go back in. Mid case scenario is the clot causes a stroke, but he lives. Those scenarios hold 50%. And then there's the 50% chance that he will die.
So please, whatever you do, whatever you believe, do it for him tonight. I feel so badly for Shawn, he's so worried about his brother. I feel bad for Anya who is just a wreck, not only worried for Garth but raising a 10 month old on her own (she's only 19 btw), and now she's homeless because her (also very abusive) father took Tim (the guy who did this) side and said it was all Anya's fault. She's staying with her Aunt for now. I feel bad for Charlize who is the sweetest girl in the world, she should have her daddy. I feel bad for Garth who's awake enough to know he might soon die, and having to say his goodbyes to his girl and baby just in case he doesn't wake up. I feel bad that Anya had to go back to Morley, she wanted to get her stuff out of the house in case Tim tries to destroy it, but now that means she's too far away to visit Garth as often as she has been, and I know that's hard on her.
The guy who did it has already been released, they only held him for 3 days. No one knows what the RCMP are charging him with, if they're charging him with anything. He's already back at home (another reason why Anya can't go back home).
